Ndlavela

Obedience brought a servant nurse

To a Mozambican ministry

With medicines and seeds

For their life and health

Love changed Australian dollars

Into wood, cement and a metal roof

Which shields the eastern sun

From a worshipping people.

Unity binds the splinters of war

As a new South African opens the door

And the peoples' leader unties

The knot of access.

Transformation is the longing

As a breeze blows gently through the reeds

And the Spirit stirs within

To make them new.

The official opening at the Salvation Army hall Ndlavela, Mozambique, by Lt Col Wm Mabena, chief secretary. Australian nurse, Major Hilda Sigley operated a mobile clinic to Ndlavela.
