The pigeon calls me
And I must answer;
You sound contented
Your life-long partner
Is also happy
To spend life with you.

Your walk is wobbly,
Your take off floppy,
The magpie's laughing
But you keep going
A smile goes with it.

The cool of evening
Descends upon us
You say your goodnight,
It's nearly bedtime
Can I have a hug?
