Sunrise on another day.
The sun that comes up over Old Orchard
Broke here hours before,
Crossing the ocean
As though it moved from here to there
On a journey to the land of the free;
Leaving the old country
Itching to wage war to retain possession
Of what, to her mind, was hers;
Yet a world made to be under dominion of all
Continued its spin, while the sun stood still,
Ever the symbol of righteousness
Over a world longing for peace.
