God the thought behind the plan

Saving man from his lost state.

Love the theme to vindicate

Fallen mortals - every man.

Jesus came - the thought now word -

Showed us love on earthly quest.

Then he died - the theme expressed,

'Salvation Free', the word now heard.

Co-existent is the memory -

Spirit of the word and thought,

Brings to mind the plan unsought

By the sinful, sad and dreary.

Fill our minds with thoughts of thee

May we speak but of thy favour,

Nor our memory from thee waver.
