The Symphony

The lines and spaces flow across the page
With intervening bar-lines moving free
In arithmetic order there to gauge
The numbered meter set beside the key
As melodies appear with nascent grace
Articulating exposition themes
Disguised in modest yet determined pace
Interpreting our own creator’s dreams
Committed to the sheet divinely scored
In composition tailored as our own
Uniquely stamped on every major chord
With personality defined in tone.

The symphony composed as yours is mine
When lives of service and of faith combine.
