Promoted to Glory

And crowned with a status beyond sainthood,
Surrounded by others who’d gone before,
Enthroned and ready to receive supplications
Of those in need or flummoxed by conflict,
Waiting for an answer, just wanting a better life
That only he could give,
While we wait here, patient in hope,
Expectant with faith applied as a way of life,
Doing our best to follow his way,
Awaiting neither assumption nor beatification
But promotion to a state of glory,
Finally transformed into his likeness [1]
As we enter his presence with joy.
