The CT Scanner’s Prayer
- Details
- Written November 2010
Looking inside
CCTV peering beneath skin and bone;
Electrons invading, exploring and slicing,
Axially tomographed sagittaly,
Revealing secrets already known to you:
A foreigner straining
The serenity of wholeness.
All-seeing One
Who makes molecules from atoms,
Tissues from cells, with enzymes and endocrines,
Read now the prayer of the heart
And let them see what you see -
The invader dissolved
And peace restored.
