Apollo ll

So how does this son of the god of all gods
Come to sing - making music for the soul,
Bringing healing in his wings
And ready to conquer every foe,
With the world converging on his shrine
To hear what'll happen next
And crown him with a wreath of laurel?

Until another comes, the son of the most high,
Whose song challenges the soul
Bringing life-giving transformation
In the continuing battle for what's right
From the echoes of an empty tomb,
Predicting neither doom nor gloom
Though still wearing a crown of thorns.
